  • Sex Sells

    Amp Energy Drink has a new series of commercials that feature people who have just had a one night stand. They feel but but they get through the day by drinking Amp, as they sing the song "I will not be ashamed."



    Am I the only one who thinks this is disgusting?

    I think it merely reflects what society of today has become.  People don't think anything of a one night stand these days and adverts like this tend not to offend many people which I find rather sad more than disgusting.

    Sex does sell, it's a powerful tool for companies.  It's unfortunate but it's been spiralling into this sort of advertisement for years.  People may complain to companies, but I think there are few and far between for the companies to take notice, because they are driven to sell and make money.  I doubt they care very much that a certain percentage of people are offended by it.

    Sex sells, unfortunately sells lies..... a life time of hurt.


    As a Believer and designer/marketer I really believe that there are better ways to grab your attention to sell a product, humor and other shocking ways that wouldn't be so destructive to the society as a whole. Sad how carnal we've become. We're almost like the animals in a barnyard. Eat, sleep poo and fornicate and die.

    This sort of sinful advertising is yet another disgusting sign of how far we have fallen. But have faith, there is still hope that some of them will understand that The Lord does not appreciate their implications of fornications simply for brewing pleasure.
